Modern Simplicity & Wildly Quirky. Worlds Apart Just a Dining Room Apart.

This one was a joy. So I’ve been commissioned by Rupp Family Builders in Bend, Oregon to photograph a few of their renovation projects and, well, this one was a particular joy to shoot.

In one room, you’d swear you were seated in a mid-century modern minimalist masterpiece that begs for a mid-summer martini on the lawn just outside the sliding glass door. Then cross the dining room, which serves as the threshold to the family room and, well, the comfortably quirky pops of color sitting on the shelves surrounding the brushed brick fireplace draws you into an almost whole different world that beckons hot cocoa, a curled cat on the carpet, and a book on a cool winter’s eve.

The owners are recent retirees who’s wonderful personalities fit perfectly in this balanced mix of bold and beautiful.
