There’s something about a Central Oregon summer that gets me itching to put my drone in the air. The days stretch long, the light turns gold a full hour before sunset, and on a clear evening the Cascades line up across the horizon like they’re posing for the camera. If you’re selling a home right now, this is the season to show it from above.

Why aerial real estate photography sells homes
A ground-level photo tells a buyer what a house looks like. An aerial tells them what it’s like to live there — the size of the lot, the mature trees, how close you are to the river, the golf course, or the trailhead, and the way the whole neighborhood sits against the mountains. For acreage, waterfront, or view properties, a drone shot isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the shot that makes someone stop scrolling.
Why summer is the best time to fly
Long days let me catch that warm, low evening light without rushing. The high desert is green and alive, the trees are full, and there’s still enough snow on the peaks to make the Cascades pop. Add a few dramatic summer clouds and you get skies you simply can’t fake in February.

Doing it right (and legally)
I’m FAA Part 107 certified, so every flight is licensed, insured, and flown within the rules — which matters when we’re working near neighborhoods and the airspace around Bend and Redmond. You get the dramatic shot without any of the liability headaches.
